Women Empowerment
In 2024, the Sharifa-Tofiz Foundation launched the Women Empowerment initiative to support girls and women in rural communities through confidence-building workshops, open conversations, and practical guidance. The goal is to help them recognize their own strengths, speak up for themselves, and make informed choices about their education, health, and future. Empowerment begins with self-belief, and this project is one of our first steps toward nurturing that foundation.

Workshop Highlights
Strong Girls, Bright Futures
Strong Girls, Bright Futures is an interactive workshop designed to help young girls build confidence, find their voice, and recognize their own strength. The session brought together 18 girls along with their mothers, creating a shared space for learning, reflection, and encouragement across generations. The workshop was led by Mounia Rahman, co-founder of the organization, with the support of her mother, Dr. Sharmin Jahan, and featured guided discussions, relatable activities, and open conversations around self-belief, decision-making, and speaking up. Together, the girls and their moms explored what it means to grow with confidence, respect, and hope for a brighter future.
